Cancellation Policy & Financial Responsibility

We understand that occasionally, unexpected events arise. However, to be fair to all of our patients and out of consideration for the acupuncturist, if you provide less than 24 hours notice or are more than 10 minutes late, for any reason, you will be charged a cancellation fee of $50 to the card on file.

All herb, supplement, and product sales are final and may not be returned or exchanged. As a patient of Sage Acupuncture LLC, you accept financial responsibility for all services and products received and authorize us to charge the card on file for any remaining balance.

Insurance

Here’s everything you need to know about insurance coverage.

HSA & FSA Welcome We gladly accept HSA (Health Savings Account) and FSA (Flexible Spending Account) cards – a great way to use pre-tax dollars toward your wellness.

A Note on Insurance Coverage We don’t bill insurance directly or accept third-party payments. That said, if your plan does include acupuncture benefits, you may be able to submit a coded receipt for reimbursement – and many of our patients do!

Find Out What You’re Covered For Not sure what your plan includes? A quick call to your insurance provider can go a long way. Here are some helpful questions to ask:

• Does my plan cover acupuncture and Telehealth consultations?
• Is out-of-network acupuncture and Telehealth coverage included?
• Do I have a deductible, and how much have I met so far this year?
• How many visits are covered per quarter or per year?
• How much is reimbursed per session?
• Are any diagnoses excluded from coverage?

It’s easy to Submit. If you have coverage, just ask, and we’ll provide a detailed billing summary you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement.

Understanding Good Faith Estimates

Our service fees are listed upfront on this page and in your initial confirmation email message, so there will never be a time when you receive a “surprise” bill.

Under federal law, healthcare providers need to give clients who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services. This means that you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services. You can ask your healthcare provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service or any time during treatment. Additionally, if you receive a bill of at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute that bill.
