Our Practitioners

For over a decade, Sage Acupuncture has been providing Austin with the very best in complementary care for women and couples who are struggling with infertility.

How do Chinese Medicine and acupuncture understand and support fertility?  The notion that the body’s ability to self-regulate can be harnessed and cultivated to support over-all functioning and health is a cornerstone of Eastern medicine. This is now being recognized by doctors of Western medicine. In both disciplines, specialists agree that our health and fertility are influenced by our circumstances and choices: physical, mental and emotional. With this in mind, the Sage team creates personalized and effective treatment plans for each patient that incorporate acupuncture, herbs, supplements, nutrition, and other lifestyle recommendations.

Sage’s practitioners are delighted to be part of the movement toward holistic health and the coming together of Eastern and Western medicine to support patient fertility.

Sadie Minkoff L.Ac., FABORM

Sadie is passionate about her work and dedicated to helping her patients with compassionate care. For the past fifteen years, she has worked with her partner, Michelle Schreiber L.Ac. Together they opened Sage Acupuncture, Austin’s premier holistic fertility clinic. Later they founded The Cancer Wellness Center, for patients, survivors, and their caregivers. They chose these two areas, partly because of the powerful effect that integrative care has on outcomes, but also because they have been personally touched by both infertility and cancer in their own family. It is their mission to support others faced with these challenges by providing exceptional care in a healing environment.

Sadie has seen first hand the great benefit that an interdisciplinary approach to healing can bring. In addition to her private practice, she has worked in various clinical settings including: The Texas Fertility Center, Austin Surgical Hospital, Central Family Practice, The Genetics & IVF Institute of Virginia, Tulsi Holistic Living, and the Carl Vogel Center of Washington, DC.

Sadie is an inaugural fellow and current Vice President of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine. She is licensed by the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners, nationally certified by the NCCAOM, and holds a Masters of Science from AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine.

She has been a guest lecturer at AOMA Graduate School of Integrative Medicine and The Texas College of Traditional Chinese Medicine. In 2006 Sadie contributed to a peer review of “Chinese Medical Herbology and Pharmacology,” by the Art of Medicine Press, widely considered the foremost medical text on this subject.

One of the most rewarding aspects of Sadie’s work is educating patients, acupuncture students, and healthcare professionals about Oriental reproductive medicine. In 2016 Sage was honored to receive the Austin Birth Award for Best Acupuncture Clinic.
